Mascot Guest House — Hotel in Nketoana Local Municipality

A week ago I booked a 3 nights stay with my 2 year old son. The cleaning service only came the first day & I know this because the 2 tea cups we used where cleaned and the pillows we placed nicer on the bed unlike the way i left them. But the tea and milk where not replaced and mind you, Free State is a cold place, we would have loved to drink some coffee in the evening, and I found a noted stating that there is no cleaning services on Sundays and Public holidays, which were the last two days that we were there. i understood that, everyone needs a break but they could have left us tea for those days they were not coming. Had an unpleasant experience with Caroline. My fiancé and I almost slept in the rain outside (in the car) after arriving at Mascot Guesthouse after her 8pm cut off check-in time. We called to let her kow that we will arrive late. She REFUSED to check us in. We had to plead with her to leave our room keys with other guests that were already there! She told us that was not possible and that we have to check-in in person with our ID's. After reasoning with her from all angles, she reluctantly allowed it. Adding insult to injury, she called us the next day accusing us of loosing her remote and demanding that we pay to replace it. We did not even touch the TV!!
