Bosveld Villa — Hotel in Nkomazi

We felt right at home at Bosveld Villa. It is a beautiful villa in the Marlothpark. You can hear birds chirping and it is very relaxing and cosy by/in the pool, on the beautiful viewing deck and in the other cosy alcoves to linger. Everything is so beautiful and new that you hardly know where to sit/lie down. The interior of the villa is also very tastefully decorated. We stayed in the large zebra suite as a family. It was very cosy, equipped with all comforts and tastefully decorated. We had a great view of the garden and there were always animals visiting close to the window. There were even bush babies in the trees in the evening. Andrea and Patrick were the best hosts and cooks we met on our trip. We enjoyed a braai as well as other South African dishes. It was so great to be able to eat at the lodge in the evening and enjoy the peace and ambience by the fire. One evening they also set up a special table at the edge of the bush and it was dreamy to hear the fire crackling, watch the starry sky, enjoy dinner and listen with excitement to what animals you hear. It was also very special for the child. We also liked that you could walk to the Crocodile River, meet animals on the way and see elephants and hippos behind the fence at the Crocodile River. On the first evening we did a walking tour organised by Andrea, a sundowner with a drink and a view. The knowledgeable ranger explained plants and animals to us along the way. The day private safari from Bosveld Villa into the Kruger was also great and our guide always tried very hard to make sure we saw lots of animals. We spotted lions and even a cheetah. During our stay, Andrea was always there for us and told us so much about South Africa and also about plants and animals. We felt like in a family. Bosveld Villa is also a good starting point to play golf. You can reach 3 golf courses within 30 minutes by car. We really enjoyed playing there. We had a very good time at Bosveld villa, the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Neville and team did a great job with the braai (South African BBQ) and we enjoyed a nice sundowner overlooking crocodile river. The only thing we can complain about is the broken water supply during our stay, that made showering etc. partially impossible. Nevertheless, we can highly recommend staying at Bosveld. |Our full day safari tour to Kruger was amazing and our guide Jan did a very great job! He is very knowledgeable about the park, it's fauna and literally every animal we encountered. Already for the second time this year I have visited Bosveld Villa and it was both times a splendid experience. What great place to spend a few nights! The owners Susanne and Andrea keep in regular contact before arrival to make sure everything is organised to your needs and wishes. They even organise further trips for you especially around the area of Kruger National Park. The villa itself is with only 4 guest rooms a perfect size to feel comfortable and is conveniently equipped. The tours with Johan to Kruger and to Maputo added a great experience to the pleasant time at the villa. 100% recommendation, especially for single travellers...
