Leuk huisje op palen in de bush van Marloth Park SA , het "wild" komt onder de veranda langs lopen, voorzieningen van het huisje zijn redelijk, de hygiëne en het onderhoud van het huisje laat te wensen over

This was one of the worst places we stayed at and we have stayed in many self catering accommodation to compare. The host Justin who my dad consulted with gave the impression that the accommodation is close to the Crocodile Bridge gate to enter Kruger which is not true as it is about 20 kms distance to travel to the gate. Justin basically wanted to sell the booking to us as he claimed that his accommodation was a better option than staying in an accommodation inside Kruger which we feel now is untrue. My dad believed everything Justin said and once we paid up full then all the rules and warnings was sent to us. As a paying guest you simply don't feel welcome or able to relax. We are a responsible family and take care of other peoples property as if it was our own home. I honestly don’t understand why he books out the accommodation when he has trust issues with guests. It is utterly disrespectful to guests. Firstly there were no clear sign boards on the main road to find the accommodation which was frustrating because we got there on a rainy day and it was difficult to find the narrow dirt road leading to the property. The security company to collect the keys from was further up the main road and out of our way from the accommodation. Outside the property the previous occupants trash was still in the bin cage and stayed that way throughout our stay. My dad had to actually take videos and pics so that we would not be accountable for the state of the bin. That is how uncomfortable and awkward we felt staying at this property. Once we got to the accommodation, you have to climb these round wooden stairs made with round timber that leads up to the cabin which was very unsafe to walk on especially on rainy days. I travelled with elderly parents and would not recommend this place to anyone especially as you have to carry your belongings up to the cabin on these stairs. There were spider webs on the stairs and it just felt like the property is unkept. Sad that Justin has soo many rules and warnings to his guests but not to the cleaning company who takes care of the place. The floors are unstable and sticky , the bathroom and shower stall was not cleaned as you could still see hair on the shower floor from the previous occupants, the mosquito nets in the rooms were tied up with dead mosquito in it so when you opened up the net all the dead mosquitoes fell onto the bed. Justin expects you to use the same towel throughout the duration of your stay as he says this is a self catering accommodation. Since we were 3 people and there were 6 towels we were lucky to change towels during our 4 day stay but if you go with a bigger group sadly you will have to make do with the same towel as we were told that to change towels will be an additional cost and the property only has those six towels so the cleaning company would have to come collect those towels wash it and return it to the cabin. Absolutely inconsiderate to guests. He expects you to wash the dishes but a sponge is not provided so we had to go to the Spar and buy the sponge. My dad was always in a state of unrest due to fear that the owner will find some fault in some way as an excuse not to refund the deposit we paid upfront. My 66 year old dad mopped the floors before we could leave because the parking area is gravel and due to the rain the cabin floors had muddy foot prints so because of the warnings given my dad wanted to make sure the place was spotless when we left. Honestly this place is not worth your hard earned money and is not a place you can consider for a...

What a stunning place to stay. It lets you experience the bushveld in an authentic way. Our grandkids did not want to go home. The amount of animals that came to the house was amazing and we went through 3 bags of pallets as the grand kids kept feeding them. The hosts were fantastic and arranged an evening game drive as well as a list of activities in the area. This is going beyond normal so thank you for that. We are looking forward to our...
