Kruger View Chalets — Hotel in Nkomazi

No beating this location, we watched animals in the park from our patio it was amazing. The units are very well serviced and are impeccably clean. Just a few small points, despite the photos and details on the adverts there are no longer ovens in the units. We had food that required oven cooking (as I had seen there were ovens) but they are no longer there so don’t make that mistake. There are no doors on the showers and it’s near impossible to stop water from going everywhere making the floors crazy slippery so we ended up putting towels down on the bathroom floors which makes it hard to be water wise and reuse the towels every day as per their request. There is a restaurant on site so there is no access control on the property so there are often random people hanging around taking photos etc because of the incredible view. For an affordable price you get all the essentials and a few of the extras like an air con in every room. Note that the 2 bedroom units are brick and thatch-roofed houses that overlook the Kruger across the Crocodile River and the one bedroom units are wooden structures on stilts quite a bit further back. There are service ladies that make your bed, clean the floor and the dishes each day between 9 and 11. The pool is immaculate and you can easily spot wildlife roaming around across the river. I would have given them 5 stars have it not been for the fact that we were NOT informed prior to our visit that construction work are being carried out at the swimming pool on the premises adjacent and in between the chalets with the constant peeping of the reverse hooter of the vehicles and construction noises.

We choose this location for peace and quiet and not construction noises…
