I was pleasantly surprised by the Marloth Park area. The entire time of our stay we felt very close to the wild African nature. We were greeted several times a day by various wildlife who freely approached the resort (but don't worry it was totally safe). The lodge offered many good options in regards to outings. We chose to do one full day safari and then a couple self-drive safari's on the other days. While I enjoyed my full-day safari I must admit that the guide we were given was not the best. We shared this with the lodge and learned that she wasn't the full-time host. If you do the full day safari I would recomend asking if you can go on one of the days the owner leads the trips. I have heard great things about him! And I know for a fact he has some incredible stories!
During our stay we were very pleased with the food. The breakfast was a little different each day and always tasty. The dinners were also very satisfying. We chose to not eat at the resort every night just because we wanted to experience other options in the area. You could chose to eat at the lodge every night and be very happy! There is a great variety offered throughout each week!
The only negative for me during the stay was the tension between the staff. Living in Norway I must admit that the South AFrican culture was a bit rougher than I am used to (I am not saying it is bad, just very different from what I am used to). While the white management staff were incredible friendly and helpful, it was the black support staff that truly made the time at the lodge special! They were some of the friendliest people I have engaged with in such a setting and they were always willing to be helpful. I was grateful to have such great service. The tension I spoke about was obvious on several occasions during our stay and left me feeling a bit awkward. I do not want to share any details but it was a challenge during my stay. It is entirely possible that this atmosphere is present in every lodge as it might just be cultural.
Overall I really enjoyed this lodge and for the price I imagine it is hard to beat. It is small and cozy so you will not feel overrun by...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of staying at Mvuradona Safari Lodge during our 3 day visit to Kruger National Park, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the lodge provided an immersive experience into the heart of Africa’s wilderness.
The accommodations were top-notch, offering a blend of luxury and rustic charm that perfectly complemented the surrounding landscape. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and featured stunning views of the park. The attention to detail was evident, with every comfort considered and provided.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the animals that constantly roamed the property. From zebras and giraffes to warthogs and kudus, there was never a moment that we didn't have a viewing of a bush animal!
Although we did not get to partake, they offer personalized game drives. We enjoyed hearing about other guests’ unforgettable encounters with a variety of wildlife. Each excursion was thoughtfully planned, and the guides' expertise and enthusiasm brought the safari to life.
Additionally, the lodge’s staff were outstanding—always friendly, attentive, and ready to assist with any request. The dining experience was equally impressive, with delicious, well-prepared meals that showcased local flavors. Two others in our party have severe allergies, and with proper notice, the team went above and beyond to accommodate their restrictions with equally delicious food!
Overall, Mvuradona Safari Lodge provided an exceptional blend of adventure and relaxation in one of the world’s most incredible wildlife settings. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable safari experience. Five stars all the way!
Thank you to all the lovely ladies that took care of our every need and to the manager and owners for such personalized service!

Read moreWe had a lovely stay at the lodge as a family of four. We had two rooms, which was more than enough space and worked out perfectly for us. We originally planned to come at Christmastime, but due to some trouble in Mozambique, we weren’t able to travel. We contacted the lodge to see if we could change the dates, and they were more than happy to oblige—which honestly surprised us. They moved everything: the dates, the safari bookings—everything to March, which was incredibly kind of them.||||The lodge itself is beautiful. It looks out over the Crocodile River, and you get all kinds of animals visiting during the day—nothing threatening, just part of the charm. There’s a small pool to cool off in, which was really nice. The rooms are lovely—very well kept, with plenty of space and comfort. There’s also a big lounge area outside where you can sit on couches and just enjoy the view of the river—such a peaceful spot to relax.||||We had dinner and lunch both times we stayed. There aren’t many other eating options nearby, but the food was excellent. We ordered in advance, so everything was ready when we arrived. They also run an open bar—you just help yourself from the cooler, jot it down, and they tally it up at the end.||||Overall, we were very, very pleased with our stay. It was such a lovely time. The owners even came by to talk with us—we had a nice chat. The place had come recommended by friends of ours, and the owners actually remembered them too, which was a nice touch. All in all, we were very happy and would love...
