Dear granny mouse house, this review is based on our experience of your place and not aimed as a personal attack on you. Its strange how you judge your guests as you state that i have champagne tastes yet have a beer income (or was it the colour of my skin that made you presume I have a beer income) I wonder what you say about other guests after they have left your place and filled your pockets.

Take note that no unreasonable requests were made. The only request was a decent bed to sleep on.

As a matter of fact, there's no lies spoken in what I've said - it is the truth and you know it, whether you choose to accept it or not. I have left your place on monday the 1st of October and today is the 4th of October. Careful consideration and thought has been taken in writing this review.

It appears that you rather sweep the dirt under the carpet than work on your issues in question and accept positive criticism.

Since your approach is such, I consider it a good idea to forward my partner's medical bills to you.

The saying ' a picture tells a thousand words' is one which must be carefully considered when booking into Granny Mouse House.

At the outset of our arrival, for a hard earned holiday, everything appeared to be lovely in this rustic setup.

Thats until we got to our room, where upon our entrance was greeted by a dusty room - which would be a nightmare if you have a sinusitis problem. Nevertheless we aired out the room and cleaned were we could - taking into account that there were numerous stains on the floor carpets which looked as if it hadn't been washed in ages.

During the first night, it became clearly evident that the mattress of the bed was in a very poor condition. We could actually feel the springs in the bed which concaved in. I reported this to the owner who lives on the premises and instead of making us feel comfortable, I was told that I'm the first to complain and the bed is the latest seally posturpedic. I can assure you that when I returned to the room and lifted the bed sheets, the bewd looked as old as Hogsback. I then requested another mattress however i was told that there are none available.....even though there were numerous unoccupied units at the same residence. Please note that my partner is now receiving physio beacuse of this and we were more tired when we left than upon our arrival. Due to the fact that I had already paid for the accomodation, we were saddled there.

Please take into account that there is no microwave nor tv or radio in the room - also please take your own toilet paper....jus makes me wonder about the standard of accomodation if you have to take your own toilet paper with.

We were further informed that we would receive daily room service yet did so only after the first night. From hereon, my partner and I had to clean our unit everyday and even hang up the wet towels as we were not given any clean ones - take note that the owner was no where to be seen after payment was made.

I could go on about these poor conditions and the fact that the owner behaved as if she did us a favour, forgetting that we booked 3 nights at a high rate. I personally do not suggest this accomodation to any couples or families because we deserve much more than this. There are various other accommodations available that are cheaper and of better quality as we soon discovered.

Nevertheless, we enjoyed the serenes of Hogsback as it is an absolutely beautiful place however I will never stay at Granny Mouse House even if the accomodation was free. The best part of the accomodation were the 2 dogs that played around in the...

Granny mouse is horrible. Stay far away. Ingrid if you answer this review with sarcastic comments and lies i will post photo evidence of the 4 star sham you are running and valse advertising on internet and throughout town. You ruined my weekend at Hogsback. Edit: so in response to your sarcasm i will elaborate. On your website you boast about 4 star accreditation with no mention of no longer participating in the grading system. Yes i see that you only recently added that info on your website after i accused you of false advertisement. I hope you also recently removed all of your signage throughout town showing 4 stars from the TGCSA. Only when arriving at your gate you added a small disclaimer right below signage showing 4 stars to say you no longer participate. I not only paid you an deposit but i paid you in full( big mistake) after i confronted you and asked for money back you refused saying that you will consider paying me back . You smelled like liquor from a mile away and it was clear to me you did not have money to pay me back. After slamming your door in my face and i allegedly threatened you, you called for assistance from a gentleman named Mike Mullins. Mike was reasonable understood my situation . Mike paid my money back in full and told me that he hope to be reimbursed by you once you sobered up. You are a disgusting...

Arrived in Hogsback with no accommodation booked, were referred to Ingrid at Granny Mouse by one of the locals.|Was a supper amazing stay had several nights of red wine and long chats (and laughs ) with our amazing host Ingrid, a wealth of information about the area and told us what was worth viewing in the area. Accommodation is beautiful and super clean. We were lucky enough to have a suit part to the main house, apparently one of the oldest in the area.|Ingrid garden is just on the next level, no words can describe , just go see for yourself it is like a walk through a private park, truly amazing for the gardener type person.||Will love to return for the flowering of the azaleas , apparently September ish,,,, and when you see the size of the established bushes one can only imagine how splendid it must be.||Granny Mouse House is just...
