Horizon Cottages — Hotel in Noordhoek

Horizon Cottages is the perfect getaway for a family with young children. We stayed at the captain's cottage the 2 bedroom cottage. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including plastic cutlery for my toddler, a front loading washing machine and iron. The grass area was fenced off and provided ample space for him to run around. There was a jungle gym and trampoline to keep him entertained. There is a pool which is also fenced off. There is back up power in the event of loadshedding. The television streamed Netflix and DSTV Stream. There was complimentary coffee,tea,sugar and milk. The property is next to a busy road but his did not bother us at all. The ample trees and fence provided a buffer from some faint traffic noise. We stayed in this excellent self catering chalet in Noordhoek with easy access to the beaches, shops, restaurants and bars Alana and Vernon are very welcoming and doo all they can to help you settle into their meticulously maintained property. The challet is well proportioned and equipped with a wonderful huge and very comfortable bed. We loved having breakfast on the deck every day as the world wakes around us. Add to that grabbing a bottle of wine and doing the same in the evening before you set off for dinner. What can get finer than that?

We highly recommend the Horizon Cottages especially when we know how hard Alana and Vernon have worked to renovate this place after taking over 5 years ago.

We stayed in the Captains cottage which is a two bedroom apartment. It was beautifully clean, well equipped, cosy and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the super king-size bed and the lovely gardens with brick barbecue and picnic table on the terrace. Nothing was too much trouble for our delightful host, Alana, and we cannot recommend this place highly enough. There are many things to do nearby including a visit to Cape Point vineyard ( 3/4 minutes away) for a fantastic top class picnic with amazing views out over the ocean. Another highlight is the scenic drive by the ocean to Hout Bay for fabulous fish and chips on the beach. An amazing stay; we were...
