We had a lovely five days at Leopardstone Hill and would thoroughly recommend staying at this individual, quiet and comfortable accommodation. The cottage has everything a family or a couple need on holiday including a lovely garden and natural pool. There are even two friendly dogs to greet you morning and night!||Everything in the stone cottage has been chosen with comfort and artistic style in mind. Distinctive features include a lovely bamboo ceiling and a stand-alone, Victorian-style bath in the master bedroom. We were also impressed with the choice of books on the bookshelf which would satisfy most discerning readers and especially those with an interest in the politics of South Africa.||The cottage is well-located - far enough from Cape Town to feel as though you are in the countryside but close enough to get to the city easily. ||Our only criticism is that we didn't have enough time to explore the area properly. Finally, take care on the narrow, spiral staircase after a few glasses of good South...
Read morePebble Beach Cottage is the smaller of the two cottages for rent and my favourite. It has a double bed and 2 twin beds, ideal for solo or a family of four. ||||I have been staying in this cottage for many years now when I visit Cape Town. Alison and Richard have become friends and are always very welcoming as are their dogs Felix, Baggins and Smartie. It is great to find somewhere that is dog friendly and their property is well fenced in so friendly and safe.||||There is everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay whilst visiting Cape Town which is only a 20 minute drive away.||||I can really recommend both of Alison's cottages. The 'deep south's is the best place to stay. Beautiful scenery, ample shopping, close to Cape Point Nature Reserve and Silvermines plus near enough to Cape Town itself. If you don't believe me try it. I know you will...
Read moreWe came from the uk to visit friends for Christmas and they booked 2 cottages. We were in Pebble beach, my two teenage sons were in a cramped twin bed room and our double bed room was also very small. The 1 small bathroom was terrible when you sat on the loo your knees touched the sink! And we are small. The shower was in such a bad position over the bath and it dribbled water so it took an age to shower, which when you consider Capetown has a water problem defeats the water saving notices in the bathroom. The sink water didn’t drain away. The place needs some maintenance.||The website photos make this place look amazing, it’s not.|We were here for four nights and we were woken by barking dogs, almost...
