We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Inkungu Lodge for 3 nights. We had some meals at the lodge and also ate out but the food we had at the lodge was excellent. The pork belly roast and prime rib were out of this world delicious. For dessert we had the chocolate cake, the creme brulee and the fruit salad and ice-cream. The creme brulee had very good flavour but it had not set properly and the sugar was too thick so couldn't crack it. The other desserts were spectacular 👌 The breakfast was brilliant and the scones and muffins they serve are homemade and the best we've ever had! The owners Anton and Kerry are friendly, Kerry is especially nice and very accommodating. They have a manager Ryan who is incredibly good at being a host and he made us feel very welcome. He showed us around, shared lots of information of the area and history, assisted us with checking in and was just all round an absolutely amazing host. He has a natural ability to entertain and host the guests and is definitely an asset to the lodge. Princess, the waitress and bar lady is stunning - friendly and graceful. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was truly lovely. My favourite piece in the room was the massive antique dresser. The entire lodge comprises antique and historical furniture which gives the lodge a uniquely upmarket atmosphere. The view is something else and no picture can show the true majestic view of the mountains and surroundings. Truly a beautiful party of this country. You have to see and experience this in person. I truly hope we will be able to visit...

AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! This place is very special. I have been to many places in my life, but Inkungu Lodge is one of a kind!

I kept saying the whole time, "the food is amazing"..."oh the view is amazing"..."its amazing to feel so at home". Its really a home away from home. From the moment we stepped in, until we drove out of the gates, the team was just amazing. Ryan (the manager) and his team are just excellent! They have a very special personalized approach, it feels like you are the only person booking in for that day- no, actually it just feels like coming home from a long trip.

From friendly smiles, incredible food, fantastic views, great service, late night conversations, special memories and out-of-this-world atmosphere, you WILL feel at home. The team arranged so many special things for us when we got engaged there. I full recommend choosing Inkungu Lodge for creating extra special memories!

When you walk in and see the friendly smile from Ryan (manager) and see the painting of the Zebras' backside, you know you...

I cannot fully describe how much my fiancé and I enjoyed our stay at Inkungu Lodge.

The standard of their lodge, rooms, service, customer care, food, and location far exceeded my expectations. They were outstanding in their assistance to plan a surprise engagement for my now fiancé. When weather changed in the evening and impacted the romantic plans I had, they were VERY quick in coming up with alternative plans that made sure things ran smoothly and maintained the romantic appeal.

We had special dietary requirements which they took in their stride with gracious understanding. They even went as far as to create new recipes for us which was incredibly impressive.

Their anticipation for what my fiancé and I needed / wanted (throughout our stay) was quick and assertive without being overbearing.

Viewing the beautiful mountain face right in front of the lodge, from the infinity pool, with a drink in hand, took relaxation to a whole new level.

Do it - give...

If you are looking for something special like staying in an African lodge in the midst of the Dracensberg mountains, don't look any further! A small, unique hotel, 4 generous, extremely luxurious rooms with breathtaking views will await you. The house is full of antiques and beautiful paintings, generous sitting areas, a,well stocked bar and a sun terrace with an infinity pool. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful with tips and support. The food is home made and fresh! Highly appreciated and recommended.

Wow! If you looking for a place that ticks all your boxes, this is it! From the time you walk through the front door, you will be taken care of by the most amazing and friendly staff, the meals were absolutely delicious and the whole lodge is filled with special hand selected historic furniture all with a story! To top it off, there are the most amazing views of Cathkin mountain. What a little gem and a great way to reset the soul!
