Place is dying fast. There is no proper hiking trail on the premises. A 12 minute walk around an oval dam is all. No horse riding on the premises. They points you to Hiking at the Royal Natal National park. Maintenance lack since the last owner bought it about 5 years ago. See the best pictures was uploaded and posted 5 years ago. Covid took its toll too. The dam in front of the hotel is overgrown and filled with Green moss on top. It smells and is messy. The trees in front grew to huge heights so that you cannot see the landscape, neither the Mountains. It is messy. Games room is a disaster. Manager maintain a couple of core units that visitors use, it appears to be a strategy on cutting on running costs in terms of cleaning. It is an old place in general. Read moreMy husband & I, with our 11 yr old son, stayed only for 1 night on our late drive from Durban to Jhb - it was all we needed. The room was clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. Excellent service and quiet area. The only concerns of mine is that the website or Google says that the breakfast was for free, no they still billed us, was delicious nonetheless. And when it rains, it's a struggle to drive on the muddy and gravel road. We still had an amazing time and would definitely want to come here again! The tourists who stayed there too were also very friendly and greeted...
