We stayed here primarily because of its proximity to Royal Natal National Park. The room was big, and the bathroom included a large bathtub and shower. It was wonderful having a hot bath after hiking the Tugela Gorge trail! The grounds were pretty and nicely groomed. Unfortunately, the pool wasn't open, but someone was working on it the last day we were there. We really liked the staff, all of whom were friendly and helpful. The dining hall is a beautiful building with a thatched roof. Breakfast and supper were good, not great. They also have a couple cute and mischievous cats and a dog named George, who likes chasing the baboons! We stayed three nights and was an excellent value. There are limited dining options nearby (Tower of Pizza was good) so we found it worthwhile to have supper at the Ledges. If you're staying two nights, maybe one supper at the Ledges and the other at Tower of Pizza!||Wifi didn't work in our room. It appeared like all the other rooms had it, but ours was in the middle of their...
Read moreThe rooms are quite spacious and neat. There is no dstv at this accommodation, only the SABC channels and unfortunately the wifi signal is very weak.| There are no electric blankets in the rooms but the little fan heater does the trick. The room was also kitted with a microwave and bar fridge.||Not sure if the place is under renovation but the outside leading to the rooms was a bit shabby and left much to be desired. Another con was the second parking, it is not secure by means of a gate or fence. This left me feeling nervous to leave our vehicle unattended there so we opted to park by the reception area.|Not sure if they have security personnel but i did not see any.|There is not much selection in the breakfast menu and 90 rand for an omelet is exorbitant.||This accommodation is a 20 minute drive to royal natal.||The staff is quite friendly...
Read moreWhat a picturesque guesthouse set atop the mountains. The location was simply beautiful, pity the service we recieved left much to the imagination. We booked for 8 and stayed from the 30th to the 1st. The receptionist Nokwe was unprofessional and downright rude, spoke ill of the resorts owners and walked around in bum shorts whilst dealing with guests. She used abusive language and was anything but helpful. The fridge in our 6 sleeper didnt work, our rooms were never serviced, we had to run around in the rain for toilet paper and fresh towels which resulted in Nokwe hurling insults at us. I'm still in shock by the treatment my group and I received. What could've been a perfect girls trip resulted in regret and frustration. Such a pity as this resort has...
