Blougans B&B — Hotel in Overstrand Local Municipality

My friend from the UK booked 3 single rooms for us to arrive on the 30th of Jan and when we got there they had given the 1 room away saying they only had 2 rooms now and were we prepared to share. They claimed that we cancelled our initial booking. We then learnt that they had taken in a 21day booking and we were also told that we must please cancel our booking and that they will go on the following morning and put no show so that they can still get their commission when in fact we did arrive at the B&B to book in! I find this very disgusting and will definitely not be referring them in future. I also found the attitudes rather disgusting and they were trying to blame my friend for the error! This is an embarrassment for the ladies who were looking forward to spending some down time...

The hotel is located in a quiet place, around the same cottages. You can walk to the ocean, there is a picturesque fynbosh route. You have to drive 2 kilometers to the beach by car, it is very beautiful and protected from the wind. Although you can walk as well. The room itself is large, comfortable, with a balcony, and even overlooking the ocean. The toilet is tiny, but it's our own :) We had the last room, and since the exit to the street was made through the balconies, we passed by other rooms, perhaps this could interfere.
