Fijnbos Manor — Hotel in Overstrand Local Municipality

John & William, you guys were excellent host. Absolutely amazing, guest satisfaction service, on a premium level. Since we arrived on Denelle's working weekend and my holiday until we left 3 days later, we were treated like royalties, a rare feat in Cape Town. Due to having a vacant double room available before we booked in, John offered us the upgrade at no extra cost. The house is close to most tourist attractions, google for more info. The house/rooms were clean, there is even a huge collection of various genres of books and magazines you are allowed to read while staying. The swimming pool was obviously my favourite hangout. We even had our own veranda with a table and 2 chairs overlooking the swimming pool and the portable braai areas, and with plenty of space for kids to play on the grass. We regret not trying your supper, but the breakfast was excellent and a real value for money. A must visit in Bettys Bay if you want value for your money and beyond excellent customer service. The room we slept in was great, no aircon but there was a fan to cool us down... The room was neatly prepared and everything was clean and organised. We enjoyed the coffee corner and the bar fridge provided.

The bath/shower thing was a bit weird and the shower window did not want to stand still on the ledge of the bath, so that was inconvenient. You can see that most of the efford was put into the room where everything was beatifull and new but the bathroom was a bit out dated and the shower thing did not help to improve it..

We enjoyed the breakfast room and the breakfast served... It was delightfull and delicious!!

We had a previous booking but somehow when we arrived, we were unable to gain access and they never answered the phone or replied to our messages. When they got hold of us the next day thinking that we were a no show they were very sincere and apologetic about the misunderstanding and by then we were very disappointed as we drove all the way in the rain for nothing and ended up finding a hotel only late the previous evening. To our surprise they offered us a free stay at anytime convenient to us. On our arrival all was very pleasant and our room was beautiful and cozy.
