Pure Sea — Hotel in Overstrand Local Municipality

I had the most wonderful stay at Pure Sea Boutique in Gansbaai. The property is set in an idyllic location right on its own private beach, offering both beauty and tranquility. The gracious owners have thoughtfully curated every detail to create the most comfortable and luxurious stay.

The décor is stunning, the lighting has a magical warmth, and my room was spacious, modern, and elegant. Every element feels intentional, from the high-quality finishes to the unique touches that make the space feel so special. I loved that they even make their own skincare product, such a thoughtful and unique detail that really sets this place apart.

You can truly tell the owners put their heart into making every guest feel welcome and happy. Their hospitality is unmatched. Breakfast each morning was excellent, and the homemade cappuccinos from their impressive espresso machine were the perfect start to the day.

Hidden away on what is effectively is a secure gated community you will find what I think is one the best boutique hotels in the world! The owners Bjorn and Peachy have created 4 fabulous escapes that show case their pursuit of excellence. Every detail has been thought of within the rooms and beyond to the shared areas that other guests enjoy. They even have evenings when the bring an outside chef so you dont need to go out and eat and the food was fantastic. Comfortable beds and a peaceful nights sleep and was the only place when I actually slept right through. Great sunsets in the evening with a glass of something cold. Massage? Yes that could be arranged. Hot tub? yes got one of those and we had oysters with ours :-) Overall the attention to detail was fastidious and as someone who is slightly OCD I can really atune to that. Its alreadu a place that we plan to visit again in 2026 and will be part of our next itinerary. Special shout out to Nico for his warm friendliness....
