Getaway Self-Catering — Hotel in Panorama

Our door closed on us with all keys in the inside. called owner. He said there was nothing he could do to help us, as he was 2 hours away and no one was able to assist. We were sitting in the cold of winter, and helpless. He offered no help or concern about us having to stay out in the Cape Winter cold. HE said I had a bad attitude when I questioned his non responsive approach to our dilemma, or attempt to help us. Needless to say. There was an alternative - A call out fee to come and open our door - which we were more than willing to pay for the inconvenience. He arrived - and he was not two hours away as he stated when we called. He arrived within half hour. He did not greet us when he arrived and walked straight to office to get keys. when he came from office - he rather complained about where we parked our vehicle, and not a care about our well being as guests in his establishment. To start off the service was horrible, got odd looks from the receptionist when asking for assistance with things as she felt annoyed that she was asked something. The house had a mould like smell when entering and the place was outdated and felt very cramped. In the apartment we had an issue with the plugs as it was very loose and tripped the electricity which switched off all the plugs. This is not a safe place for a family with small children. Leider kann ich das Zimmer überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Wir benötigten nur für eine Nacht eine Unterkunft (13Feb). Die Buchung und Check-In uber die Webseite Travelgrounds lief problemlos. Die Begrüßung und check-in morgens vor Ort auch, alles schien perfekt. Für eine Nacht war das Zimmer klein aber fein. Wir sind leider erst gegen 22.30h auf unserem Zimmer gewesen und haben uns auf den Abflug am nächsten Tag vorbereitet. Beim Koffer packen bemerkte ich eine Kakerlake, auf dem Bett. Je länger wir im Zimmer waren, desto mehr Tiere kamen zum Vorschein! Das um 00.15h keiner vom Getaway erreichbar war, sowie der Stromausfall von 2-4 Uhr morgens waren zusätzliche Probleme. Einzig die Reaktion der Rezeption mit Schock und Entschuldigungen sowie die schnelle Rückerstattung meines Geldes sind der Grund für 2 Sterne. Im Nachbarzimmer, wo sich 3 Gäste befanden schien es keine Probleme zu geben als ich mich gegen Mitternacht bei Ihnen gemeldet habe.
