Makarios Lodge and Weddings — Hotel in Polokwane Local Municipality

Not a great experience. We were a group of colleagues there for a work function. Some of the rooms only had bath tubs and they were full of dust/dead spiders or did not have bath plugs, and when asking for plugs we were just looked at as if we were crazy. Some people didn’t even sleep in their own rooms due to it being so dirty. We had to leave very early for said work function, and asked if possible to have breakfast at 6am. We were indirectly told that 6am is a bit early, because then they would have to be in the kitchen at 5am to start cooking, but if we opted to not have breakfast we would not be refunded as per their policy. The rooms that we did sleep in though had comfortable and clean beds, but I would not...

Nice, simple quiet location, away from the bustle of town. Surrounded by nature and vegetation..the place has a rustic country side feel to it. Cosy wedding venue type of place, with accommodation, chapel, reception venues.They also have donkeys and carriages for weddings or other events. Clothing boutique, Crafty gift store available and a mini tuck shop are available on the premises.

Child and family friendly, with jungle gym swings and slide play area. A pool is also present although we didnt use it as the weather was cold when we stayed over.

You often hear the phrase "arrived as guests, left as friends" but this truly was the case. Ockert and Petro were absolutely amazing hosts and they really did go out of their way to accommodate us. (From very early morning breakfasts to VERY late nights, nothing was a problem for them).||The room which we stayed in was a family suite with a queen bed and four single beds which was VERY spacious and extremely comfortable - we had SO much space!!||I definitely wouldn't hesitate in recommending Makarios Lodge to anyone.||NEAT, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE and VERY...
