As usual, it is exciting to see what the next destination will bring you when you do a tour. In this case, once you have passed through the gate, you will be regularly informed where you are and how far you have to go, even what awaits you. Gate open, gate closed, gate open, gate closed, .... and then ... there is coffee! Very friendly welcome and a perfect cottage! Everything you can think of. From a can opener to an efficient shower (just rinse off the dust and sweat without having to tinker for about 10 minutes and having to drain an unnecessary amount of water). The bed is very comfortable with brand new linen, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Lovely terrace outside with beautiful views. What a paradise. After a rough first night, we searched for alternative accommodation and were fortunate to discover an incredible farm stay in the heart of the Karoo. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a cup of coffee and tea, then shown to our beautiful accommodation, which would be our home for the next two nights.

The tranquility of the farm was beyond words—peaceful, restorative, and simply unforgettable. On our final afternoon, we were invited for sundowners at a scenic lookout, watching the sun dip behind the vast Karoo horizon—a magical ending to our stay.
