Kameeldoring Guest House — Hotel in Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality

We unfortunately experienced the following after being booked to stay at the guesthouse for a week (a gift holiday from family members). We arrived Friday and left early Sunday morning due to the following (in a nutshell):- the rooms in the guesthouse were occupied for the weekend and we were asked to stay in other rooms on the property. We waited for those rooms to be ready. There was not enough cutlery in the rooms . On Saturday it started raining. Water streamed in under the doors and ceilings in some of the rooms started leaking. Eventually the lights started going out. We had to keep going up to the guesthouse to ask for towels, buckets and candles. Later in the afternoon we were moved to rooms further down where there were no leaks, still no power at intervals, while later we could hear a generator going at the guesthouse....During our stay dogs would roam freely around,in and out of our rooms, etc. By late Saturday night we had had enough and decided to leave the next morning....Suggestions:- ensure that the rooms your "guests" are booked for are ready when they arrive; keep your dogs in a private space away from your guests; ensure your guests are aware of Covid-19 protocols (no signs were seen anywhere, no sanitizers, etc.) We sincerely hope that our family, who generously gifted us with this holiday, will be reimbursed...

Nice setting and quiet, mostly. We had no issues with the dogs in general, they are actually well behaved and never entered our room, a gentle "no" was always enough if one wanted to venture further than the door, but, they were going crazy during the evening. We had to get up early the next morning as we had a long day ahead of us but sleep was difficult with the dogs having a good old chinwag the entire night, I'm sure they sorted out all the issues in the neighborhood... I get that they are security... I missed the bit where the advert mentions that if you don't like dogs to stay away, this has now been noted and will be kept in mind for the next trip through Zeerust. We also had no internet during our stay. The Owner did try and help, she did appologise, she allowed us to check in earlier, she was always friendly and always replied when I messaged her. This is a very mixed review but an honest one, still scoring...

This has been the worst guest house I have ever stayed in. Our family had to be moved to different rooms because our room was "damaged during the rain". The rooms we got was overfill with furniture and none of the amenities worked - no aircon (no windows), no TV and no hot water. The beds were the worst I ever slept in in my life and I expected a spring to stick through the covers. The price is far from worthy of the cheap motel room we had to endure. We could not leave fast enough. It is a pity that there is not an option...
