Peaceful Place — Hotel in Richtersveld Local Municipality

WOW. Sorry for the delay. I travel on a bike through SA and sometimes just put things off. So here goes. On arrival 17th to 22nd August the weather was great. I had some time to walk down to the beach, which is just a stone through away from the seaside gate. There was some clear paths right to the cold Wes coast bay. What a sight. Some diamond mining boats passed by on there way North, apparently to Alexander bay. The braai area, which we used every night is protected from the cool breeze coming of the water. Now for the room, Blue Diamond. A must experience. The room is upstairs and facing the ocean, with its own balcony. The sunset view of the ocean is unmatched. Even sitting in the bath, which I did, because of some sore riding muscles, and other nice excuses, I could see the ocean as the adjoining bathroom and bedroom both faces the Westcoast ocean. I can't explain , you have to experience it. The town and shops are a few minutes away and I could buy all our supplies, food and some toiletries there. Just to say, the little history, diamond museum, also in town, is a must visit. The flowers, as this was flower season, helped to get me in a great mood. Place is clean and quite. Neighbor, wish I had such a friendly, helpful neighbor at my old house. Already trying to find another, not so good reason to stay there for a few nights. White diamond unit. Bittersweet. Beautiful view. And rooms is comfortable. BUT it stops there. Our trailers were broken into. Thieves in the night came in and stole several items that was in court area. Even things like ashtrays. Even if there is a sign that read "at your own risk" the owners should be held responsible. We did not feel safe at all. Back of unit is filthy. Stove is extremely dirty and hardly works. Struggled to cook for 10 people. Toilet 2 leaked. Very difficult to walk to beach. Front gate can lick but no gate to beach area. No proper dining area. Big table but only 3 proper chairs. No lounge area where 6 people can sit and relax when it is...

It's anything what name says.. Tired for days we traveled so far from Johannesburg and yet you still so tired The wooden floors in the top floor making noise when guest is moving around disturbing ones sleep. No privacy in the Pink Diamond as every other person is passing the room. Curtains have to remain close. No broom or mop to clean the floor as it looks dirty all the time. You can atleast change the bed and bedding as it has it years already and only leaving one with back pain. Also no safe parking what's the use of having a garage but it'st not in use.
