We really had a great time as a family here. I love the new Buffalo villas. These are a few concerns I have: There is not enough security. Before and during covid we would see lots of security at the shop at the pool and walking around. Now it's hard to find a security person. I would like to see someone taking charge by the pool areas. There were youngsters drinking alcohol with glass bottles in the indoor pool but they're was no one walking around to speak to them. One of the jets by the outside warm pool has a strong suction and has no covering with a round hole as an adult it would hurt if you put your hand there and was hard to get your hand away from it. If a child put there hand or arm there it could pull their arm in and break it or pull them under the water. This jet needs a cover. It was hard to find someone who was in charge and eventually found a security lady who seemed more interested in talking to the garden workers. She said it's fine she will keep an eye on it. The next day I came to the outside warm pool and someone else was complaining about the same thing they also said this is dangerous and the same lady said it's not a problem. Surely if two different people are bringing a safety concern on two different days then it should be taken care of. Eventually another employee from buffelspoort came and asked us about it and he said they will have to see what they can...
Read moreThe staff treated us with so much respect and the service from them were excellent. The "boss/chef" however do not pass the test of "Hospitality Manger at all. His reaction to complaints were poor. The rooms were tidy and nice but the sheets were terrible. Are they "plastic/re cycled? The towels were never changed through the week - this was bad. The most disappointing were the standard of the meals. It was well prepared and presented but it felt like a budget constrained exercise and left a very bad memory for future. In comparison to what we had at Drakensville this was a one star compared to the five star of Drakensville. Spaghetti Bolognaise for your Sunday meal??! The Coleslaw came late and was only enough for a third of the people. Pasta again the 3rd day ... Breakfast cereal dished out in little plastic containers - did you weigh/counted the pieces. "Oros" in the Sir Fruit Containers and that became coloured water last night. Our ice cream and chocolate sauce were dished out as if it was a rare necessity Fruit once, no joghurt... In conclusion, the meals were sub standard. Thank you - the stay in general...
Read moreenjoyed it really to be on holiday there. The people is friendly and are awesome. The place is clean and well looked after. I found one guy on my to the swimming pool at 07:30 already busy working and starting his day. There is a entertaining building were you can enjoy your self with pool or playing darts or even playing chest with a big bord and big pieces. I liked there were we stayed, in the late afternoons the ape's would make a turn there and play on the open field or climb in the tress or even play on the swing set that was there. If you gow for a swim in the evening you feel safe. It is quite there. The houses you rent are clean and beautiful, and with the snappy chef on the counter is making you coffie nice in the morning. The only reason that i am giving it a 4 star and not a 5 is because the pillows that we had in the house was very soft. The food is very nice and affordable, if you are hungry of swimming stop for an ice-cream or a pizza or even a chip-n-dip it is really worth it, even if you want something for a dry throat it is...
