Gatz Guesthouse — Hotel in Rustenburg Local Municipality

Dear Thato ||||We stayed at your accommodation over the above mentioned weekend. Firstly when doing the booking we had a good look at your website and was very impressed. The booking was really easy to do and a pleasure to work and communicate with Adelaide. ||||Very friendly and nice staff ||||However when we got to the accommodation it was another story altogether. The rooms that were located to us were smelly and looked so untidy, we actually didn't feel comfortable in these rooms. We asked Adelaide to move us. The second rooms were a bit bigger however still had a smell and was very unkept, untidy n lacked a three star look. ||||The beds were hard as hell, the pillows were so uncomfortable and make up on the sheets. ||||Everything in the rooms were old and creeky I didn't feel comfortable at all. ||||The showers were very untidy cobwebs and spiders everywhere toilet seat loose ||||The list of things available in the rooms were not even in place eg: hair dryer ||||We actually checked out a day early due to these unforeseen circumstances and uncomfortable stay - we just couldn't take it any longer. ||||Adelaide was not very happy with us checking out, however is was bad. ||||It makes me wonder that you as the owner dint even email or call to check what was the problem and the reason for our check out. Booked here for a couples weekend away. Expected a good setting that was conducive to a bit of late night drinks and good memories instead we left a day early because of the uncomfortable feel of the place. |The staff were very friendly and the manager was very accommodating which was a positive. |The biggest problem was the overall look and feel of the place which felt very dated and not very well maintained. |We were given the "blue room" which had ther bath room in another room that was separated by a hall way that did not lock. The room itself was very average with a bed that felt as if you were sleeping on the floor. The bedding was not clean as I found what seemed to be woman's make up on the pillow cases.|Everything creeked and rattled from the cupboard doors to the room doors and even the bed. |The place is also not ideally situated as there is no acceptable eating places anywhere close. If arriving late afternoon or at night, there is no option but suncity which is 19km away. |Breakfast was ok and acceptable given the price paid. ||If not for suncity, i really don't see why anyone would book into this place. |Pictures on online are also very...

We stayed here for two nights in the family room. The first night (31st Dec) we were unable to rest as there was a big party that carried on till 02h00 in the morning. At 07h00, the party started up again, and there was no consideration for other guests. The rooms offer you the bare minimum. We had 2 towels for 3 people, 2 coffee cups with absolutely no other cutlery or kitchenware. The beds are dented and hard. Pillows smelled of mold as if the covers never dried properly. The bathtub could not be used as the plug was damaged. The floating bathroom basin is hanging on for dear life, which makes one cautious using it.
