KETTLE GUEST LODGE — Hotel in Rustenburg Local Municipality

Found this venue by chance as made an impromptu visit to Rustenburg. Just stayed 1 night at this guest lodge on Fri 16 Sep 2016 and had the worst racist experience from the moment we arrived to the time that we left. Although it was not overt racism, it was definitely implied. We were made to feel unwelcome the whole time. The owner wanted to put plastic sheets on the beds in case our 3 children aged 9, 5 and 1 wet the bed. She kept stressing that she was getting a big party in on 17th September so didn't want to have to spray the mattresses to clean them. ||||There are no fans or air conditioners in the units, considering how hot Rustenburg is and when asked if we could have some fans we were told that it is self catering so if we want fans, we should bring our own. ||||Then as we were preparing to check out, the owner came to the unit and said that the kids must not eat "fatty meat" because they are going to mess the carpets - once again implying that our kids don't know how to behave appropriately. Yet the kids were sitting outside and eating breakfast. We were basically kicked out as this "big group" was coming in and we needed to be out. We couldn't finish eating breakfast. ||||If you don't want non-whites in your establishment then say so, rather than make people feel unwelcome and causing an inconvenience.||||Will definitely NOT be back and would never recommend this establishment as...

So my friends and i visited kettle guest lodge on the 29th DEC 2016 till the 3rd of Jan 2017..... I must admit that we really enjoyed our stay, not forgetting how sweet and kind management was at the lodge " Evelyn Francis and her husband Seef.... Everything was on point, in order and well organised, the lodge is 45mins away from Sun City, Evelyn Francis checked up on us frequently to make sure we are fine, and answered all questions we had on the plate for her....... Even though my friends were little bit intoxicated on new years eve, Evelyn Francis asked us to calm down as other guests were already sleeping, the area is within the GREEN BELT POINT however we understood why crackers aren't allowed, but an alternative place was recommended, the lodge is 3 star grading but we got 5 star treatment. I would gladly recommend this lodge to anyone, it is very professional and the stuff is also well mannered, they knock before they enter your chalet, the guard did his usual rounds not forgetting to ask if we are fine. Seef the owner also gave us all the perfect routes and places to go within their area.... To everyone at Kettle guest lodge, thank you once more for the wonderful service....... God...

my family and i searched all over for a place to stay for the night. we finally found a place literally in the middle of no where of rustenburg. how exciting to be greet by a friendly warm face " EVELYN FRANCIS", the hospitality was amazing. we had our own chalet, beautiful scenery. the kids enjoyed the experince of a home away from home atmosphere.how welcoming. the next day we met Seef , once more greeted with such hospitality and kindness, he even went out of his way to get us a braai . we ended up cancelling the rest of our plans and staying one more night and within budget. i have recommended this secluded piece of paradise to my colleagues at Comair LTD. wow " KETTLE GUEST LODGE" , middle of no where , but how beautiful, thank you Mr and Mrs Francis.my family loved it.thank you. dawn...
