Masibambane was the perfect spot to spend the night en route to Madikwe Game Reserve from the Jo'burg airport. We had a hard time searching on line for a rest stop, but it turns out their are over 300 B&B's in the Rustenburg area. This guest house was the perfect choice for our family of 9. Rooms are in separate cottages with every combination of beds. The beds are comfy and the water hot. Susan & Roland along with their two exuberant dogs are the perfect hosts. There is a lovely veranda surrounded by a large lawn behind the main house. The perfect spot to have an evening drink or morning cup of coffee. Breakfast was wonderful -- cold buffet had yogurt, fresh fruit and cereal, hot buffet had sausage and bacon, Susan cooked everyone's eggs to order. Lots and lots of choices of jams and marmalades for toast which was a real treat. We elected to have dinner at the nearby mall in Rustenburg. There were lots of choices. We went back the next morning to do some last minute shopping and use the ATMs before heading on to Mosetlha Bush Camp in the Madikwe...
Read moreWe stayed at Masibambane during the World Cup. When we checked in, they only had one room for us (instead of the 2 we had booked) but they fixed that up quickly and without fuss.||||Our room and bathroom were huge, and there was plenty of room for our little girl to crawl around in. Masimbambane has nice grounds, so you can relax in the garden or on the verandahs.||||The highlight of our stay was the breakfast, which was excellent. They were also more than happy to put out a breakfast for us very early one morning before we left for Pilanesburg NP.||||The only downside was our room was cold. It was the middle of winter, and we had a huge room. Unfortunately the room only had a tiny little oil heater, which just didn't warm up the room. It would have been much more comfortable with a decent heater.||||Overall our room was good, staff were very friendly and its in a nice quiet spot. There is a big mall just down the road, where you can go for dinner or just for...

So was the breakfast. The owners are very nice people. The house and the gardens...
