Goblin's Inn — Hotel in Saldanha Bay Local Municipality

Goblins Inn has several rooms with an excellent view opening on a big stoep. It is completely separate from Goblins Creek and about a block down the road from each other. Managed by the same “in residence” couple. The rooms are well equipped with everything one might need. Lovely, well laid out, convenient bathroom. The ceiling fans are a necessity to be rid of the ever present mosquitoes! Opening the double doors is just gorgeous although it does relinquish all privacy. There too are two very nice communal spots for having a braai. ||The ample parking has shade but is not locked at night though it did seem to be safe enough there. ||While the balance between neglect and a bohemian look is a very very fine line, and I loved the plants in eclectic pots, I did think they could do a little more regarding the exterior to make it look a bit more fresh...

This place needs serious upkeep and pictures on sites need an update because it is very deceiving and does not look like that at all. My friend and I probably got one of the worse rooms but we desperately needed to overnight on Saturday 8th January 2022 so had to be satisfied. We were in room 4 and it had a musty smell and was very dusty. The toilet had no door on it and the bath was in the bedroom? Just looking through the pictures on the various booking sites now makes me think that we were in a completely different Inn? There was definitely no sea view even when we got out of the car and all the pictures on the sites are very deceiving or it was taken a long time ago. Would recommend that you ask to see the room to make sure it is what it says about it...

The room did not meet our requirements. Setup is for someone who only wants t sleep. The coffee cup doesn’t even fit in the coffee machine. No place to put your baggage. Everything had to be placed on the floor. Kitchenette is not sufficient. No dish cloth, no dish soap. The owner needs to spend time and maybe sleep in her units so that they can see it’s not good. The entire establishment needs serious maintenance and upgrading. Very disappointed because the rate, although discounted, was too high. I would not pay R950 for this. This is more...
