Golden Key Guesthouse — Hotel in Saldanha Bay Local Municipality

Big disapointment as we arrived on Saturday, found a opened condom wrapper next to the pedestal. Which means the room was not cleaned as it was very vissible. People going in and out till well around eleven pm. Then a bag of smooth stones stolen from the back of the vehicle we paint with messages to encourage people, the guy next door's fishing rods were stolen from his vehicle. We paid two nights but did not sleep there the second night. I will not recommend this place to any one I know. We also found a used towel on top of the wardrobe. Me question everything there now, like was the bedsheets changed before we arrived? Nope sorry! No go. We vissited 8 guesthouses in August from George to Vredenburg, this was the worst by far. Lola is lovely but she needs to get better cleaning staff or assistance. Our room was dirty and had a bad smell. Our white sheets had dirty brown marks on them and a terrible smell we had to spray my perfume all over the room. The floor was sticky and had visible shoe prints showing it had not been mopped in a while. We understand that it was only a one night stay but we still expect a place to be clean…. We also understand that it is a Guest house so other people use it but we really don’t want to smell them on the linen...

We really enjoyed our stay and might I just say that Lola that works there is a real gem of a woman. My whole family fell inlove with her. She was like a Mom to everyone. Furthermore the rooms was clean and very spacious and we felt safe and comfortable. The pool area is beautiful even though it could get a bit cramped if all the guest are in the same area simultaneously. We will most definitely visit again in future. Lots of...
