Hendersons Lodge — Hotel in Setsoto Local Municipality

Owner owns Wimpy as well, which already was a setback to my mindset, as it's Famous Brands who is responsible for increasing prices in many chain franchises, dictating industry costs. And who have wrecked Mugg & Bean, turning it into a Vegas bling thing. Ok so pricing on the dishes is influenced by their Wimpy model. Food prep was however better, I believe. The staff was where the difference lay. What nice young people. All of them. I'd give this restaurant a thumbs up. As I've never found or expect to find perfection, the 4 stars is as high as I mostly give. The accomodation I can't comment on, pricing or rooms, I have no experience but I'd guess they're bit steep but pretty well appointed. We visited the Lounge coffee shop for an after Parkrun Breakfast. The coffee shop is located in what was the school hall, still complete with high wooden ceilings. The coffee shop furniture was comfortable, with a friendly atmosphere. As one walking into the coffee shop, one encounters the pleasant coffee hue.

The menu has a long list of favourites and some very interesting eating and coffee options. The service was good and pricing was fair for what was ordered.

There is also the option to purchase coffee beans roasted in house and gifts. There is sufficient parking.

Stayed for one night. The room was clean and had basic things needed in a lodge. The outside gardens were not looking good and needed to be cleaned. The cars were parked in a remote controlled gate which was only opened by the lodge staff. The lodge had only SABC and E-TV channels. There was a problem of water in Senekal but we never encountered problems with water at the lodge. There was no breakfast served at the lodge but guests were encouraged to take breakfast at the local Wimpy which was very close to the lodge. The room was spacious.
