Pitty when you deal with arrogant manager who is not willing to assist when there has been a clear administrative issue on their side.

If I had to review a start to finish. Easy checkin. Pretty old school house if that's your vibe. Bed uncomfortable in the PEACOCK room. We also didn't feel safe, to the point that my wife made me lock our suitcases and hide our valuables.

Breakfast - the company was great with the other guests but places weren't laid. The table was dirty, food on my chair and just disappointing when you are paying for an inclusive rate. The food did come as I ordered it which was a plus.

All in all. I won't be back and my recommendation is Vrede just up the road. The rooms are lovely and the view is just unprecedented.

This is a massive house with a lush garden and beautiful views to the mountains. The room is decent, clean bedding,although the the pillows were uncomfortable. Also decent bathroom necessities. It was quite cold at night, although there is a heater in the room. You can’t adjust the heat and the bedding wasn’t enough, there were no extra blankets in the room. Location wise, it’s ideal as it’s close to most of the wine farms in the area.

I didn’t like that you share a big table for breakfast with other guests for breakfast. I love my privacy at breakfast. The manager was friendly and helpful. The house is old and could do with a little maintenance and colour to lift the moody decor and finishings.

If you are looking for a very very rustic setting, very farmstyle, then this is the place. The gardens are not well maintained and the entrance to the spa area and seating is not inviting.

The treatment rooms are container like setups with a shared bathroom. This means no quiet time, as other guests are loud and chatting on their side and one cant relax in quiet.

The bathroom setup also then meant that we could not use it, as someone locked it from the other side and did not unlock when...
