We recently had the pleasure of staying at Lyngrove Country House, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and charm, and the beautiful setting made us feel both at home and truly spoiled. The house itself is elegant yet inviting, with thoughtful touches that create an atmosphere of comfort and luxury.
One of the highlights of our stay was discovering Lyngrove’s phenomenal wines, which have recently achieved remarkable recognition at the Michelangelo International Wine Awards. Their two white wines and Rosé each earned Gold, while the Reserve Shiraz/Pinotage 2023 was awarded a prestigious Double Gold. In addition, the Platinum Latitude 2022 and 2023 vintages also received awards, with two more exciting wines still to be introduced soon.
Our time at Lyngrove was an unforgettable blend of gracious hospitality, tranquil surroundings, and world-class wine. A heartfelt thank you to the team for creating such a...
Read moreWe've first tasted Lyngrove's outstanding wines at the Wednesday afternoon, Stellenbosch Street Soirees, and were impressed. Last week one of my sons and I actually had the opportunity to visit the farm for a tasting, and are more impressed than before. We ordered some Lyngrove wines during lockdown, and although Jan-Nico offered to deliver, we collected and took the opportunity to go and taste their wines. We were amazed by the wonderful setting, and very, very friendly reception. We tasted 5 of their wines, and with Jan-Nico's extensive knowledge of the farm and their wine-making processes, one's appreciation for their excellent wines only increases. Although this time round we could not take Antoinette up on the offer of some platters together with the tasting, we're planning to do so on a next visit to Lyngrove. And one almost regrets staying in Stellenbosch, and thus having no legitimate reason to overnight in the beautiful, stately...
Read moreSo, if you are looking for a place to relax and recover, look no further than this - the Lyngrove Guesthouse. It’s exactly what the doctor ordered for us, on the countryside, far away from the usual urban distractions, however, still with the small, little pleasures of life close at hand. An outstanding breakfast offering on the porch overlooking the beautiful landscape, endless fields, blue skies and mountains on the horizon. A very attentive service staff, that had the patience to take care of you during long breakfasts that lasted until lunchtime. Always a friendly smile to be seen. It represents the very antithesis of the typical hotel offering. In fact, it feels more like you are being invited as very important guests to somebody’s home. It doesn’t get much better than that for us, having just celebrated the fifth anniversary of our much appreciated relation with the Lyngrove Guesthouse. Greetings from...
