Marianne Wine Estate — Hotel in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

The choice to stay overnight in Stellenbosch is huge, but the only recommendation is really Marianne Wine Estate! Like so many, we had to postpone our honeymoon until it was possible again due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. We had originally booked in 2020 and were still allowed to come according to the same conditions as a married couple with a credit voucher on May 1, 2022. We arrived a day early, in the evening, due to a misunderstanding. This made no difference to the hostess Yolanda on arrival, she immediately called the manager Cisca. A hospitable solution in the evening was quickly offered by offering us a pool house room at no extra cost. We stayed here the first night, after which a malfunction of the geyser (cannot be repaired during national holiday) we were moved to the Manor villa suite. We celebrated our intimate wedding at Marianne Wine Estate, in the tasting room and we stayed over for 1 night, in the loft, Master suite in the Manor house, the Pool room and L' Ermitage.

Cisca, Jo and their team were phenomenal. We met with Cisca and Jo 2 weeks before the event to discuss the logistics. They were kind, friendly and were willing to ensure we had a wonderful time, within our budget. They were accommodating and made us feel like our wedding was of the utmost importance to them, rather than making us feel they just wanted our money.

Thanks so much to chef Jo who blew us away with the yummy food we had at the wedding as well as at breakfast the following morning. Wholesome, tasty and filling! Thank you so much to Cisca for being the most amazing service provider and exceeding our expectations. Your service is top quality!

We had Mother's Day lunch at your place yesterday, 13 May 2018. I was however very disappointed with the food. The chicken with vegetables was tasteless no salt. I would think that salt are added to food while cooking. Guest can add salt and extra flavor at the tables as they wish. I receive a breast piece after I specifically ask not for a breast piece. On pointing this out to the waitress she said I do not need to eat and can leave it on the plate. I told her what my request was and she then brought me another piece. Why give food just to be left on the plate. I ordered malva pudding. . I know the pudding is brown mine was just a piece of cold white cake with cold custard. It seemed as if the kitchen forgot to warm mine as my children's were warm. My daughter give hers to me because wanted to sent it back to the kitchen.
