Nassau Guest Farm — Hotel in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

Google should allow people to give negative stars just to bring properties like this with a high rating down to what they actually deserve.

This is the most unprofessional property I've dealt with and I've had my fair share of experiences internationally.

I made a reservation via booking.com with no issue. After booking, all other sites were closed for reservations as I got the last room. I confirmed this with Google.

I was initially contacted by them as my bank rejected their method of payment and I was told by them that I can make payment when I check in, all good.

Instinctively I followed up that same afternoon to confirm my booking and suddenly they can't find my reservation when my reservation on booking.com clearly shows reserved.

I then get told that they have an unconfirmed booking for 1 night (I was booking 3 nights) and they'll let me know if there's availability. Now, I have a confirmed reservation from booking and they have an unconfirmed booking for 1 night? It makes absolutely no sense from a business perspective to do this. They try to undermine you and your status, basically make you beg for a room which they can dream about because they'll never get that from me. Why take payment in the first place?

Unconfirmed booking for 1 night versus confirmed booking for 3 nights? Why attempt to take payment if you got a supposedly unconfirmed booking for 1 night? Making me hang like I'm from the street or something. Try it with someone else, not me.

This outstanding guest farm in Stellenbosch exceeded all expectations. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home and attending to our every need—even doing our laundry.
