Just your "very" average guesthouse. 4 star guesthouses normally offer some sort of cooling or heating. No air-conditioning. No heaters. Blankets don't help if the whole room is extremely cold. Our dog was allowed as a service dog as communicated with the owner beforehand. She has the legit papers to prove this. So they can't be refused. The wall heater in the room had no plug, and the bed had no electric blanket. I really had a hard time, it was a very cold room. Question is? What do guests do in the summer if there are no aircon or ceiling fans? It was, however, very clean, but in a way, extremely depressing and old-fashioned. Towels had a stuffy smell to it, AND other guests complained about the exact same aspect in precious reviews. I have a 7.1 million view rate and didn't earn this on not being honest. Water and rusks were offered the first day and never again, even though I stayed 4 days. It is conveniently situated in a quiet neighborhood. It's just not for me, type of guesthouse.

L'anda Guesthouse was the best! Better than we could ask for. Spacious rooms, fantastic bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Thank you Amanda, our stay was excellent value for money. Your clivias are unbelievably beautiful!

The guest house was easy to find. It's in the quiet side of town and I found it to be perfectly located for my morning runs.|Amanda and her staff are very friendly and I was made to feel at home|On my first visit I stayed in a smaller room. It was nice but I hated the twin beds.||Second time around I stayed in a much bigger self catering unit. The rooms are clean and the garden is perfect for sitting and reading |I did not require meals to be prepared but I noticed that breakfast and supper are served in the dining room or brought to your room on request|I will...

We stopped at this guest house on route to Kruger from Johannesburg. It was very close to the highway about an hour and a half outside of the Johannesburg airport. We had 2 families of 5 so we rented the entire property. The owner, Amanda, was very responsive via e-mail and happily accommodated our late arrival. The property has 2 self catering apartments and 2 rooms - all with 2 twin beds. Definitely recommend as a stopping point while...
