Unfortunately we didn't have the best weekend. We were a large group with 6 young kids between us. We sat around the fire in the evenings, talking with music playing softly in the background. At 10pm the security asked us to switch off the music, which we happily did. After an hour, they started having a problem with our voices. Again, we tried to speak softer. Another hour, now they have a problem with our laughter. 4 complaints from the security until 1am. Their reason being "they don't want complaints from other campers". The next day we asked our neighbors and security (day shift) if there were complaints and if we bothered anyone. Not 1 complaint. The next evening they started the same round. After asking them for last night's complaints, they admitted there were none. Of you are younger than 80 or even just have a social friend group, make sure they are happy to be in bed by 10pm. Because apparently that's the only acceptable answer. It was annoying and unnecessary. Cherry on the cake, no soap all weekend in the ladies bathroom Block E and one of the 3 showers has a blocked drain. Nobody was worried about thatš
Edit to add: I see a lot of complaints about a noisy campsite. Nr 1, it is a holiday resort. As in people are on holiday. They are allowed to talk. Nobody says anything about people snoring. My boys who loves swimming even when it is cold did say, it is just too cold. And the hot swimming pool burnt so much it felt like boiling water. Not only to me, but I heard other people complaining about this as well. ā¹||||The biggest complain that I do have is the following: I booked and payed online for our camping week at Loskop. Due to a technical error and a mistake I have made, I have payed Loskop dam twice the amount I should have. The next morning, I did inform then. A lot of phone calls to my bank and to Loskop and still no refund has been done. When we arrived at Loskop I was told that the refund would have been done before we go home on the 29th Sept 2019. And I am still waiting. This did not happen. ||I have send several emails, requesting information, and status on my refund, and up to date I only got the message back that my paperwork is with the Financial department and they are busy working on it. We were physically assaulted by a lady who was wearing a green dress who was hanging out with the paramedic and other staff members at the bar by the pool. She went behind the bar (where she should not have been allowed in the first place) and threw some kind of crockery at us, which was smashed to pieces and cut someones leg open. I reported her to the security person who walked past and he just said "she is drunk" and didn't remove her from the bar. She then proceeded to get one of her very large male friends to come and intimidate/threaten us. This kind of behaviour and physical assault is totally and utterly unacceptable and should not be tolerated under any circumstances. The incompetent security staff need to be fired immediately for not doing their jobs and not taking the situation seriously. I will not be returning until I have proof of appropriate disciplinary action against the useless security team and that my personal safety will be...
