It's places like this that bring life into small farm towns. My partner and I had such a happy and relaxing weekend in the cottage. The room was spacious and entertaining enough when it was raining outside. Very comfortable bed for sleeping and reading. The stoep has a serene view of Porterville fields in the East, where we comfortably sat and read our books and enjoyed our complementary cookies. A massive highlight is the two course breakfast on Saturday and Sunday which was full of tasty fruits and nuts. As mentioned, there is no restaurant in the town, but 5 drive minutes away is the Desert Rose Padstal with a restaurant ideal for brunch or lunch. For dinner, we had a delicious awesome pizza and wine at the Niewedrift wine farm about 15min drive away. We brought some of our own food that we warmed up in the microwave for the times in between. In front of the cottage, there is a boules field and olive tree garden to stroll between. The whole scene is really calming and tidy. During the day we went mountain biking up the very steep Koringberg-berg. Not for the faint of heart going up, but fun once you are there. It would be great if the farmers agreed for a trail loop to go over their lands. We made up our own and had a great time none the less. Our hosts were fantastic. Really friendly, attentive and accommodating. We plan on visiting again, thank you so much!

What a beautiful cottage. Washington really made our stay feeling welcome. We got fresh and healthy breakfast and we could order a great dinner (ask him, that was fabulous). At arrival we got welcome drink and because we were so hungry after our cycling tour, he got us yoghurt and fresh fruits. That Cody cottage is nice with a comfortable and big bed and everything what you need. A great garden and a silent night in a remote nature area. we would definitely stay again at there place.

Upon arrival, we immediately sensed the relaxed ambiance surrounding us. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to spend the night at Olive Grove Cottage in such a picturesque and welcoming village.
