The Olive Tree Villa — Hotel in Swartland Local Municipality

Thank you to the 6 Olives team. This was our second time visiting the establishment (first for my birthday last year and 1 year Anniversary this year) and it was nothing short of AMAZING.

To Karin: Your aura and energy radiates wholesomeness, kindness and humanity if I could give you a hug everyday I would. Love you ❤️ and stay golden. She communicates well and is welcoming.

Back to the villa, the architectural design of the place was carefully thought-out and the interior is what makes you question where you live (jokes). The private beach, seeing beautiful sea shells and the breeze of the ocean is magnificent. The most outstanding thing is Sophie (the villa cat) worry not she is a fury friend and keeps to herself. She enjoys watching the sunset just like me. Did I mention how astonishingly beautiful the sunset was? To die for!!!

The most amazing thing is the complimentary breakfast Karin surprises you with, so delicious so yum.

Just off the West Coast, we stopped by for some Biltong (we stopped at the same place when going back, that’s how good it was and the owner was kind enough to ask how our trip was). The area comprises of great breakfast spots and intriguing restaurants (you don’t have to do any research, the Villa provides you with all the information)

I would say 10’s across the board. If I could give 100 stars I would. I cannot stop telling friends and family about the place!

Wow – what an unbelievably special place. The Olive Tree is one of the best places we have ever stayed. We both had high expectations from reading so many great reviews before arriving, however our stay still exceeded expectations. The property and gardens are simply beautiful, and the view is out of this world – you can even see Cape Town in the distance! The place has everything you need for a luxurious, relaxing and beautiful stay. Watching the sunset and even the dolphins playing in the sea whilst having our evening meal was a sight we would have never tired of! Karin and the team however are what make The Olive Tree even more special. The friendly team are always busy at work striving to make your stay as comfortable and wonderful as possible without imposing on your privacy. This was one of our best ever experiences at a self-catering villa in South Africa. Wow! From the beginning the contact with Bernadise as the front desk manager was excellent. She is prompt in all responses and made 100% sure that we felt welcome, even before we arrived. The actual experience was remarkable. They have only the best of everything in the unit we stayed (nr 2). The suite is well planned, modernly designed and furnished. The home decor and kitchenware are superb! You can enjoy a perfect sea view from the room, lounge and even when relaxing outside on the patio. The cleaning services are best and they are attentive to detail. We met Karin, the owner, and as Bernadise, she is a welcoming and excellent hostess. We can't wait for many more visits to The Olive Tree Villa. Thank you for such a gem! Amie and Christine...
