Hermitage Huisies — Hotel in Swellendam Local Municipality

I felt really humiliated with this people. Firstly i was asked to pay over to their personal acc and not the agency that i made the booking through, which i did. Then i was reminded to pay the full amount which i knew and would have done. When we got there we were three in the vehicle as we gave someone a lift to a nearby b&b, and i received another message to confirm how many people we were. I just brushed everything off and went to visit my family at a nearby accommodation. We spent most of the time at the other accommodation as it was a wedding of a family member, so we actiually only just slept at this accommodation and was never really there. Then i received another message to ask if we left money in a box and i replied that we never took anything, so why should i leave money cause we were haedly there. Then another message to ask if anything was broken that they have to fix. Whatt does person really think.We left the Sunday and on Monday afternoon i received a picture of a pan and was asked if i scratched it and i replied that i never even used their pan as we were never there and only slept there. I had friend also staying there, and they are white , and they inspired me to tell the lady exactly how i feel as they were not treated like this. The lady told me she didnt want to read my messages as its long and looks like a bad message. I didn't think i was rude. i told her about her demeanor, and she was looking at me by my skin color. If she doesn't want people of color then they should specify. I have been traveling locally and abroad and this was my worst ever experience. I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE AS THIS PERSON DOES NOT HAVE ANY HOSTING EXPERIENCE. ...

This was my third visit to Hermitage Huisies and my second stay in Aardvark Cottage this year, and I certainly plan to be back again in the future.||The location just outside Swellendam - a jewel in SA's crown - is so very convenient. The property has an amazing view of the mountains, has a beautiful, spotlessly clean swimming pool, very friendly horses, donkeys, ducks, etc...... The hostess, Nadia Zaayman, was very helpful, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to make our three-day stay enjoyable. The cottage has a lovely "stoep" in both the front and back with 2 swings, braai area and comfortable chairs.....||A wonderful place for a stop-over but an even better place to spend a few days relaxing, breathing in the beautiful fresh air, enjoying the beautiful stars on a clear night, swimming in the lovely pool, and recharging your batteries with the beauties of nature all around you...... I highly recommend you plan your next road trip to include a stay at Hermitage Huisies,Swellendam..... You will love...
