Thank you for a wonderful stay. Warm and genuine hospitality. Stayed in Log Cabin 9 Upper Floor. Small fridge, crockery and cutlery and cooking facilities available. Quality linen and great attention to detail. Rooms are spacious, immaculate and serviced daily. If you are stumped for what to eat I suggest the Chinese Take Away Restaurant at the centre nearby (really great). Lovely misty morning and view from the balcony. Pilgrims Rest, Gods Window and Sabie is a nice circular drive to do as a day outing. Owners are knowledgeable on the history of this area and assist you with recommendations. This is a perfect guest house for a stop over while travelling in the area. We booked two value for money rooms. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are equipped with just enough things for two people to get by, crockery, cutlery, etc, and a two plate stove. The garden is well taken care of, with quiet surroundings and a short drive from the CBD.

My only qualm was the unstable electricity that went on and off through the night. Not too much of an issue, but we didn't have lights for a few minutes at a time.

First time to stay in Lydenburg but certainly not the last now that I have found Longtom. Relaxing after a hard day showers are the best in SA for sure, rooms really great with fridge, microwave. Wifi was spot on and dinner is served if you require. Great idea as town is down the road and much better to eat there while enjoying the silence and amazing gardens. I'll plan my trips in future to stop over just for a nights break - Thank you...
