Oppiberg Restaurant & Lodge — Hotel in Thaba Chweu Local Municipality

Accomodation not as arranged when we booked in. Tried contacting the owner without any success.. this was on Friday night We decided we would find alternative accomodation due to us being a group and arranged accommodation as such. We found packets of cigarettes between the blankets on the bed. They allocated a room which was at the back, let me caution you. When my wife went to go inspect the room she encountered another guest(lady) sitting outside the room and my wife asked if she was ok. The guest replied that she isn't staying there and is sitting outside waiting for someone to come and fetch her.

Today (Wednesday) my wife got a message from the owner emplying that we stole a blanket from one of the rooms... We enquired with all traveling in the group and nobody had taken it my mistake. The response from the owner was pretty shocking, saying that she has now determined why the cigarettes was in the bed and explains why the blanket was missing.

My wife replied saying that not any of us had the blanket. The owners response was, luckily it was just a blanket and that we should have a nice life. I find this very rude and unprofessional only to be blocked on whats app once she had sent her allegations.

Very unprofessional to send a whats app almost 6 days later and accuse you of stealing a blanket. Why not contact me immediately or the following day?? Really, 6 days later and you want to know where a blanket is where I never ever slept due to accomodation not being as per arrangement and being dirty, not to mention the room at the back (room from hell)

Suggest you adjust your mind set with your clients and future potential clients in order to be successful

I am yet to take pictures when I go there again. But the views are quite an experience to be repeated. I literally came to this place to observe and was not really to design my experience but rather experience the culture. Complaint about music that was played louder and louder to a degree where you cant here yourself talk. Waitress apologised but did nothing.

When asking about the food portion size she brough she said she doesn't know, she doesnt work in the kitchen. Not an answer you should give. Perhaps let me inquire and get back to you.
