Lethabong Lodge — Hotel in Thabazimbi Local Municipality

The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The shop has limited stock with no prices displayed, and we found it a bit pricy. The slushies were a big hit and life saver in the heat wave we experienced. The staff at the bar and take away needs either more help or training. My daughter and her husband waited at the bar to order food, but were ignored and several guest whom arrived after them were assisted first, after placing their order for food and drink, the lady at the bar totally ignored her when she asked for her slushie. When they got their food, the slushie still was not delivered. When she went to bar, the lady once again ignored her totally. Another guest had to intervene and demand that she gives my daughter her slushie. The lifeguards need a special mention. We witnessed two incidents where the lifeguards had to react and save toddlers. They reacted swiftly and no fatalities or serious injuries were reported. They also arrange and manage games with the children every day and the kids love them. I also had an accident where I broke a toe in one of the swimming pools. They assisted me immediately, lent me crutches and followed up every day on my progress and health. The reason for my 3Star rating is because of the the house keeping standards kids messed with cereal in the morning under the bench on the balcony and there was no broom or mop,cloths for us to clean it up however

we tried pouring water to get the stickiness away which was also a complaint by one of the house keeping ladies....

to our surprise after housekeeping was done the cereal mess was still there Cereal bowls was literally half washed as there was literally cereal in the bowls and the dishes were put back in the cupboard just like it has been rinsed

I ended up re-washing them in the basin due to the fact that there is no sink.

we were also charged fully for the extra for persons in our lodge room but no extra cutlery and crockery was provided extra...

A designated smoking area also needs to be provided as one can't smoke hookah pipe but ciggerates is allowed which has a even badder smell then hookah pipe as I was advised people don't like the smell of hookah but some of us don't like the smell of Cigerettes but just had to tolerate it I think that a designated area should be taken into consideration too to accommodate everyone.

Booked into the Luxury tented camps which is R2500 per night. We were informed that there won't be wood even though they mention on their pamflet that you do get wood. The rooms offer 6 beds but its very akward should it be 2 different families in 1 unit as there is no privacy between beds but nice for 1 family with your own swimming pool. Units are clean but do have spiders crawling on the roofs inside. Aircons bit small for the size of the unit. Nice slides and lazy river.. Now for the not so nice, Day visitors are loud and extremely noisy, there was a what seems like a year end function group that were very loud and annoying. Kids Swimming pool area is very slippery and dangerous should you slip and fall. Our unit at number 10 swimming pool paint is busy coming off and water was not nice and clear without a light. At the restaurant we ordered food which took over 1.5hours to be prepared. Some of the food was very nice but the breakfast bun was dry and not so nice. Overall a very nice place with animals walking freely. Would recommend if day visitors wasn't so annoying..but for me I won't be back again unfortunately.
