We came here to celebrate my birthday, and my husband mentioned it on booking but no one seemed to have acknowledged it. The setting is very beautiful, and for a four star rating we had high expectations, but we left thinking we probably should have stayed somewhere cheaper and saved the extra pennies.

Things we liked: Beautiful setting Lovely menu with great choice and delicious food Sun loungers by the pool for some R&R Our cosy tent - had everything we needed

Things we didn’t like: Being woken at 7am on our last morning by workmen moving bricks which had been sitting in a pile near our tent since we arrived - this isn’t what we expected in four star accommodation The misleading wording on the website about tours - regarding full board stay it says “Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner and guests have the choice of one of the following activities (per person per day): Falaza Game Drive, False Bay Walk or a Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Drive”. When we arrived we were told we could only do the Hluhluwe game drive, and not anything else. We felt very mislead. Slowness of service - for every meal we waited over an hour before we even got so much as a drop of water, let alone food! Again, really not up to four star standard. No way of knowing if there’s availability for a tent with an outside bathroom, we were really disappointed there weren’t any, and that we still paid the same price for one without. It was a long trip to the Hluhluwe game reserve. 1/3 of the tour time was spent travelling.

I wouldn’t return here again. I think they need to do some work on reaching true four star standards, and I’d stay somewhere nearer the Hluhluwe reserve and save...

We just completed four nights at Falaza and loved every minute of our stay. The resort is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. Sitting poolside and enjoying a cocktail while nyala, giraffe, and other game walk the grounds was incredible. We stayed in the family unit (tents 13 and 14 with a shared deck) and it was a perfect setup for our family.

The game drives were fabulous. We’ve done many safaris throughout South Africa and Steve is one of the kindest, most knowledgeable guides we’ve ever had. The False Bay walk with him was also great.

Perhaps the best part of our stay at Falaza was the food. Every meal was incredible. Each night at dinner there were at least five main courses on offer and the menu changed daily. Everything we had was on par with any meal we’ve had in some of the nicest restaurants in Gauteng or Cape Town.

Lastly, the customer service throughout the week was top notch. From the moment we arrived, the reception, housekeeping, wait staff, and guides were all more welcoming, professional, and accommodating than the staff at any other game lodge we’ve visited.

We have nothing negative to say about Falaza. We’re sad to be leaving and already looking forward at the calendar to see when...

I was there in January 2025 to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was the best decision we have ever made. The falaza family welcomed us with so much of love and care and the hospitality is out of the world. The safari drive was amazing and our guide managed to get us up close to the giraffes and rhinos. They surprised us with a private dinner, in the outside section of the restaurant away from the other guests with a little fire on each side of the table after I had mentioned that we were there to celebrate a birthday. They really went the extra mile to make us feel special! The massages were the perfect way to end our weekend. Definitely a place to visit if you want a peaceful get away and enjoy the comfort of glamping. The only part that I would like them to take into consideration is that they need to have two separate pricelists for locals and internationals. Personally, I thought that certain activities were overpriced...

Unwind and Relax Our family of four adults and two children spent two incredibly enjoyable nights on 9th and 10th July 2023 at Falaza Game Park and Spa. The open grounds with animals roaming around made us feel expansive and relaxed. With comfortable, clean bedding, the tents were luxurious. The bathroom and the closet were adjacent to the bedroom. Although it was cold in the evenings, the heater kept us reasonably warm and comfortable. The meals at the restaurant were tasty. Four in our group were vegans and the staff catered to their needs and provided excellent tasty meals. Three of us, who enjoyed their pampering services at the spa were entirely satisfied. We also thoroughly enjoyed their guided visit to Hluluwe Imfolozi National Park in the morning. Thank you Falaza for a most enjoyable experience.

A true Glamping experience! Amazing staff, awesome food, brilliant massages! Could not have asked for a better holiday! What really stood out for us, was how personalized everything seemed. We felt as if we were being welcomed into everyone's home, as opposed to being just another guest. The entire staff compliment were friendly and accommodating. Falaza is completely child (and toddler) friendly. Rather than having a little kids activity area (like most large chain hotels and resorts do), they have actually kids activities that requires the game rangers walking them out into the reserve. What a memorable experience that was with our little one. We will definitely be back! Special shout out to: Berti, Glen, Steve, Sam, Siyabonga. The team really made our trip memorable!

Very relaxing atmosphere. We were welcomed by two cute antelope. We enjoyed the tented accommodation which is set quite far from each other which make it very private. The bed in the tent was great! At night you can hear the small nightlife and still be safe and cozy tucked in. Our unit had an outside shower and bath which we enjoyed a lot. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have a spa on site that put the cherry on top when it comes to relaxation. Falaza is actually nicely located between Sodwanna beach and the HluHluwe game reserve, thus you can see from the Big Five to the sea life (If you have a scuba license). I will recommend Falaza for a quiet getaway.
