Stayed at Morado Cottage, Amazing time out and lovely presented. Enjoyed our stay for 5 nights, chilling and reading, mountain biking and hiking.
The cleanliness of the place, while the owner is doing her best to keep it upmarket, unfortunately was a very serious problem. This was discussed with the owner, and I am hoping that the problem will have been solved by now. I view this in very serious light as there was very unpleasant consequences for us.
Take note, this is off the beaten track and if you don't have a 4x4, you will find it very difficult, especially in winter to drive to this place. There are also no shops nearby, so ensure that you stock up with enough for your stay.
Views are amazing and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The area is beautiful and despite the problem we had a lovely stay. Still highly...

I saw the owners more than my fellow campers. I know there is a no noise policy, but on new year we were constanty told to lower the noise even tho the other campers around us played music and made noise, felt like we were targeted specifically,we were a big group but we still toned down everything, we even went around to all campers that was camping none of them had any problem and they also played some music and celebrated new years. This is a very beautiful venue but sadly I or any of my friends would not go back here. I go camping to relax but that is impossible if you being watched...

There was a large noisy group of campers on New Year's Eve, but they were not a nuisance as they were on the other side of the dam. We stayed on a very large plot (Nguni) that easily accommodated three cars, a Conquerer trailer with Roof Top Tent and two 3m x 3m dome tents, and still had plenty of space to spare. Ablutions very rustic but still fine. Hot water is provided by a donkey boiler which you need to stoke before showering. The shower curtains tend to bow open when windy, but is easily solved with...
