My wife and I, together with our son and small pooch, stayed in room 5 for one night.
Well kept, neat and clean and the room is spacious. There is a strong personal touch noticeable i.e hand painted sheep on walls, notes to guests are hand made (written) and there is an interesting book guiding the guest through the history and making of the establishment. Also, pet friendly.
The road to the establishment is not ideal but tolerable - the same goes for the location. The lights (main room and bathroom) are operated from a single switch which posed a challenge when one person gets up at night to use the loo - there is however a small mobile light available. The bed creaks a bit too much. There were also some small ants present which made for a good laugh when I took a bite of my chocolate.
I found it a tad strange that the Google Page shows that the establishment is a four (4) star hotel which it is not. The establishment is marketed (from what I read in the interesting book) as a laid back halfway stayover and that is exactly what it is.
Suggestion: Door handles on the inside of the bathroom door to ease closing the door from within the bathroom.

Read moreThis place is situated next to a diesel workshop and a creosote logging company so the smell is not great. Bed was very small. Room was clean but had no separate light for the bathroom so you have to disturb your partner if you go to the bathroom as you have to switch on the bedroom light which in turn lights the bathroom. Nearby restaurants are terrible especially the Table 4 2 which was recommended. Not a great spot to overnight. Won’t be visiting...
Read moreThis was the perfect stopover on our way to our final destination and we'll definitely use them again if we're ever passing through in the future. They had everything we needed and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Excellent value for money. The decor was very interesting too. We had a bit of an emergency before we arrived and Eve, despite not really being in a position to help us, was more than willing to offer advice and suggestions on what...
