Jericho Hotel — Hotel in Thulamela Local Municipality

It's in a rural area, the third star is for that, closer to the people, for an executive room I was expecting better. The staff was so warm and helpful, the wet artificial grass next to the pools on the inside gives a place an awful stench, we felt this on our first evening especially when you are in a dining room and you wonder what is that smell only to realize the following day that it's the wet artificial grass, Guyz, we had lamb chops and pap plus veggies for our first meal, it was scrumptious and don't skip the breakfast, it's worth every penny. Parking is also safe and available, we had a lot of harmless black bugs visiting our room on the second night even though the room was spotless, we use towels to seal the door cos they were from the outside. If you really want a peaceful sleep, forget it, guests are loud and blast their speakers the whole night if they are not laughing at you for trying to sleep from their upstairs rooms and they blast music from their cars every...

I had one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. I had a disagreement with my partner and during this he locked me inside the room with him, refusing to let me leave from around 10am to around 2pm going back and forth. I was essentially held hostage. The receptionist was aware of the situation, and I tried to ask to her for help. Instead of assisting me, she shouted for him not to unlock the door and told him to wait for the manager, who was two hours away.

I was terrified and felt completely powerless. In a desperate attempt to protect myself, I tried to contact my friends and ask them to call the police. But he grabbed my phone before I could. Beautiful and peaceful resort. I love the atmosphere here, the food, Service, Pools. Reception smiles .. One thing though.. I wasn't happy with how the hard working staff ther is treated. Ul find one lady waiting and working as a receptionist at the same time. Yet the service is beautiful but why not hire enough staff and give this ladies a break. Jericho has a very beautiful atmosphere also because of this beautiful people. Im coming back in 2 weeks for projects around there and il b staying at Jericho resort.
