MGB Hotel at 2Ten — Hotel in Thulamela Local Municipality

The GPS got us lost for a moment there but eventually saw the entrance(gate) and I have to say "outstanding" the place is amazing and My stay here was absolutely amazing.

From the parking to the entrance the view absolutely beautiful. It's clean, it smells goods its just up to standard. The receptionist welcomed us nicely, would have loved to say with a smile but we were all covered with masks. The staff greets and welcomes you with a warm heart. Back to the hotel Tyuuuu the interior designer did his/her thing 10/10. I loved the aesthetic. Each corner is very much Instagrammable. The sky view at night speechless.

Restaurant!!! this is where they lost a point... Well the waiter that serves at night knows his job 10/10 he served us beautifully he understands customer service. Everything was well enjoyed the meal I had. The breakfast was not a good experience especially at the restaurant. The food did not taste nice either felt like I can step in and showcase my cooking skills anywho,

I waited and waited while they focused on these other two gentlemen that I found there. They looked like they are very well known by the chef and the rest of the restaurant staff and no it was not the owners or managers, just guests. so if you are a new customer you are not as important that's just how it felt like because I had to stand up a number of times for them to recognize that I am also in the restaurant, sometimes looking young gives people the nerve to mistreat you... So I recommend calling in for you breakfast, eat in your room it is much more peaceful and you get it faster.

Lunch, now that was a meal I regret ordering, the fish meal please work on it, fish must taste like fish not beef asseblief. Seemed like wrong spices were used on my fish.

Apart from all of that I truly enjoyed my stay here, truly enjoyed my birthday week. I gave them 4 stars because of the restaurant experience, Improvements are definitely needed. Would I come back? "Obviously" Do I recommend the hotel? "Of course" Do I recommend the restaurant? "yes, things might change and as people we get different experiences mine might be different from yours."

World class, in Venda. One of the few places in Thohoyandou that can compete with other major Hotels outside of Limpopo. I usually come here on business but when I also came for leisure I was not disappointed. Come with your family or a new flame whatever the occasion. Staff here are sure to make your time pleasant oh and if you can't speak the local language. In my experience staff are well versed in many other South African languages and are only glad to give you assistance in English. I suck with directions so when I came here at a conference and was having a hard time locating the conference venue. The gentle man at the gate walked me to reception and when he saw I was confused with the directions I did not have to ask but only had to follow him and he showed me the venue. Oh and you will feel like a God. Staff members will always smile and greet you when they come across you. I guess it's either they really love working there or they get paid well. Whichever one the owners of this establishment are on to something wish they would branch out and make this a franchise (it could be already I might not be aware of...

I visited this place yesterday and had one of the worst dining experiences. From the moment we arrived, the staff felt unwelcoming—especially the waitress, who seemed uninterested in serving us.

The biggest issue, however, came as we were leaving. We went downstairs to request an Uber, and since I’m new to the area, I didn’t realize I wasn’t “allowed” to sit on the couch in the reception area while waiting. I was told I should’ve requested my ride while still inside the restaurant. That made no sense at all—especially since the couch is in the same establishment, the area was completely empty, and there were plenty of unused chairs. The lack of basic hospitality was shocking.

As for the food: it was disappointing. We ordered pasta with beef, which was overly salty. The 1/4 chicken tasted off—the meat didn’t seem fresh, and I couldn’t even finish it.

Overall, a very poor experience. I wouldn’t return, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this...
