Grootvallei African Safari's — Hotel in Tokologo Local Municipality

Awesome break away for family to gather, half of us from the Kalahari and the other half JHB (sister and brother flew in from the UK)..

Loved the large farm house, very neat with great amenities, staff were very welcoming, chef was prepared even with the little ones, adding food items to the platters etc to accommodate them, house was serviced daily, did 3 game drives, each one on a different area of the farm, fed some of the Roan antelope with the kids which was a surprise Grootvallei arranged for the kids, Grootvallei happily allowed us to use their shooting range for some entertainment (rifle 6mm, 308 and .22 for the kids, shotgun for clay pigeon shooting and my .45 1911.

Can’t wait to return for a hunt with some friends, already started chatting to Neil about possible dates in August this year.

Grootvallei staff and accommodations are excellent! Multiple structures provide adequate space for larger hunting parties. Our chef & kitchen staff were well prepared providing local varieties and more importantly from game we harvested! Restocking of supplies, room cleaning and laundry performed daily which allows for minimal packing even on long duration hunts. The property(s) are maintained and wildlife is abundant! The variety of species to see surpassed my expectations. As a guide for many years stateside, I feel this experience was absolutely delightful. Grootvallei also has neighboring partnerships so the landmass accessible is a real treat. Skinners and game processing facilities also met our expectations given we have them quite the daily load. A beautiful farm managed by a beautiful family with great staff members. The homely farmhouse made leaving even harder. With tame Nyalas, lechwes and a gaggle of geese keeping you company around the house, you can enjoy the rest of what the farm has to offer from your porch. Every afternoon the buffaloes, giraffes and numerous other forms of wildlife will make an appearance once more emphasising the harmony the farm has to offer between human and nature.
