There is a certain kind of magic at Blanco that is hard to put into words. This is the place to experience nature the way it was created. Nestled in a valley surrounded by kopjes and mountains, sparkling dams, wildlife and birds, a soul can only find peace here! Thank you to the friendly staff who went out of their way to "say yes" and the owners for creating such a special place. Complements to the chefs who created exquisite, authentically South African "boerekos" at every mealtime and to the managers who run everything so efficiently that's its easy to take for granted. There's so much to do - hiking trails, pool, sauna, tennis, squash, pool table, dart board, horse and tractor rides... it's hard to single out any "favourite" moments! We stayed as a group booking before Christmas 2021 and had a magical time. I had heard amazing things about Blanco from friends, but experiencing myself was fantastic. Its true, everything you hear about the roast potatoes are true!!! They are out of this world. The food was so tasty, I don't eat meat and they went out of their way to cater for me. Pack clothes for all seasons as one day the heavens opened and it hailed so much, we lit a fire and enjoyed the sound of the rain, the next day the sun was out and we were at the pool.
