Eden East — Hotel in uMdoni Local Municipality

Let me start by saying that the place is amazing, with an amazing view! Has all the facilities available. It's a home away from home. However my family and I spent the long weekend there and we felt uncomfortable in alot of ways. We understood that the owners live on the property but sadly there was no privacy. We are very private people and also we were all responsible adults and didn't need to be treated like children. Some of the issues we experienced was the Geyser. After 1 person showers, the water is cold. Secondly, we had the AC on heat for just 20 mins to warm the room as it was cold, owner walked into the house where we were all sitting and asked us to put it off. Also wanted to walk into the bedroom to see why the AC is on. It was a little upsetting because we didn't complain to pay the asking price, which we specifically wanted Air conditioning before we booked. So we didn't appreciate the invasion of privacy. Those were things that could have been said over whatsapp as they had our details. Lastly we were told to put music slow because the neighbors are complaining. In the house rules, no loud music after 10pm. But at 9 to 9.30pm we were told to put music slow. (Not like we were playing so loud music anyway). Maybe owners need to adjust the house rules so when other guest come, they won't have to feel irritated as if they not obeying rules.
