Eden Rock Luxury Eco Estate — Hotel in uMdoni Local Municipality

The apartment itself was great and we had no complaints in that regard. However we had some guests come and visit us from out of town, and they were not allowed on the property. We had spoken to the security guard who confirmed they would be allowed in. We went on to prepare for the guests. In the evening when they arrived, the night security did not allow the guests in. We were told to call the person who who assisted us with the booking, and they did not allow the guests to enter the property. This left a sour end to the holiday as we had prepared for these guests, and had to feed them outside the property entrance at night. The fact that the guard confirmed the guests would be allowed in, and then did not communicate this with management should have been dealt with from the property management side. It is really disappointing that they would then make us feed the guests outside the property at night, in the rain.

If they would like to have guests return to the property and support them, this is definitely not...

What a stunning estate, with beautifully designed up-market houses! Definitely worth the buck if you're willing to spend for a special occasion. We stayed at Aloe Ridge. We didn't need to leave the place as everything that was needed for a self-catering place was available (other than groceries and staple consumables, of course). There is a mall just 8 minutes away, if you do forget to bring something along. But it was just peaceful and so luxurious. From the pool, to the jacuzzi, to the amazing rooms and bathrooms, and lastly the back-up power, which is almost a necessity here in SA at this point. The only thing I would suggest needs to be worked on is maybe just the maintenance of some of the kitchen appliances and other little details (like it smelled a bit musky upon arrival, but it aired out after we opened up some doors and windows) that I would have expected to be better for the price of the stay. Her assistance made the experience seamless, and it was clear she genuinely cared about us enjoying every moment of our time there.
