Little Fields Country House — Hotel in uMgeni Local Municipality

We only stayed one night, but we will definitely be back. Di was amazing, check in and out was so painless, the grounds amazing (on our next visit we will definitely take our time to explore) and the dogs😍 honestly, they made my visit, the best furry faces to see and be able to cuddle. I only rated 4 stars for the rooms because (this pained me to do, because literally everything else was perfect, we even had hot water bottles provided for the cold winter nights!) our cottage's one room had black mould, usually I wouldn't factor this in, but I've had chemo, so I'm a bit immuno compromised. I do understand that this is a hard battle to fight being in the wetlands though, we can't have it all😊 There really was so much that made up for this, the cottage was truly a gem and we loved every moment we got to spend there. My husband and I recently stayed in the Little Fields Loft Cottage for our Honeymoon and had the most wonderful time. Di our host was so accommodating and kind, she even surprised us with a gift of champagne and a fruit platter to congratulate us on our marriage! The place was clean and well kept. It had everything we could ask for: beautiful views, fire place, bath, OUTDOOR SHOWER!, TV with Netflix, WiFi, full kitchen with stocked tea & coffee, board games, blankets, access to walk around the holding with the cutest well behaved farm dogs and beautifully designed interior with a lot of thought put into the space. Last February, we spent four nights with our son (5) at Little Fields Country House and Cottages in Howick. What a beautiful and serene gem! We were warmly welcomed by the staff and later by Di, one of the owners. The cottage was stunning and perfect for a family stay, with its charming amenities catering well to children. The outdoor shower offered a uniquely memorable experience, while the delightful addition of freshly baked muffins each morning was an absolute treat.
