
Firstly , I would like to say WOW! Beautiful Hotel and beautiful location but the service was bad to an extent that where I was puzzled if we were in a hotel or a friend's backyard! The staff is not bothered at all ! There is nothing in them that shows passion for hospitality!
We booked my mom's 60th Birthday Party on the 26th of August 2023. We were quoted on the glass house hence we paid the 50% deposit to secure the venue. Without any alert from the hotel, on the day we had to pay the balance we were told that the glass house is no longer available . We have been moved to the restaurant and we should not worry, the package we paid for is still the same , inclusive of everything and the venue is still exclusive ( Noluthando the coordinator telephonically confirmed this).
Before I mention all the issues that made our event unpleasant , I would like to say you ....... you have yourself a top billing chef! The food was amazing ! Thank you Chef !
Bad service issues are as follows;
Paying 50% deposit to secure the glass house venue but on the day we had to pay the balance, we were told we have been moved to another venue.
-Upon arrival at reception , there was literally no receptionist. We waited for +/- 30 minutes until the Chef passed by and advised that he will go call someone to come assist.
When the receptionist arrived at front desk, she just went behind the desk and started pressing her phone. I was literally standing right in front of her but she was just unbothered . No welcome or hello to a point where I started reaching out to say I want to book a room .
The room booked , charged R500 for daily use, it was beautiful but half done. Meaning not entirely cleaned.
The restaurant was not exclusive as we were promised and there was no photobooth as per the package we paid for. There were other guests sharing the venue with us which was very uncomfortable for everyone as this was suppose to be an exclusive booking.
The Coordinator was onsite was not much of assistance to us. She was just chilling / sitting by the bar the entire time not bothered on assisting with anything. I personally had to go her every time whenever I needed assistance.
At one point , our table was so dirty with all the plates, empty glasses. When we asked for someone to assist, we were told that our designated waiter has knocked off. Her shift has ended.
As an experienced Coordinator from the hospitality background. I am extremely disappointed at the level of poor service at your beautiful property .
Reception is the heart of the hotel and the guests should be able to feel welcomed ! When the coordinator moves the client to another venue, have the courtesy to call and let the client know. An exclusive booking is an exclusive booking ! Deliver on what is offered and paid for as per the package.
Coordinator, waiter and someone from kitchen should always be available onsite to assist with making sure the order of events run smoothly.
The reason why people book out to such beautiful properties like yours is to create that unique and memorable experience that one can treasure for a lifetime. In achieving such, it all starts with your staff having the right attitude towards the brand and letting the passion of hospitality drive them.

The absolutely only thing good about this hotel is that it looks nice and rooms are neat HOWEVER it's the middle of December and the aircon is NOT working, I complained twice to no avail. And this room is HOT. The wifi doesn't pick up in the rooms. We get ONE towl in the room, had to ask twice to eventually get more. We ordered food from the restaurant, which i asked to please not put lettuce on my wrap, and they do. Guests are absolutely inconsiderate that it's 11pm and screaming and shouting in the passages, you cannot sleep, the staff won't bring the noise levels down, just absolutely shocking service. From helping me with my matric farewell preparations to taking pictures, they made the entire process seamless.
