Lala Khona Lodge — Hotel in Umzimkhulu Local Municipality

The service was horrendous. Check in was confirmed at 2pm. Upon arrival at 4pm our rooms were not ready. Staff made excuse of them being fully booked the night before. ||Once we had checked into our rooms we wanted to shower but there was no towels provided as they all still needed to be laundered. ||The rooms are not well maintained at all for the rate they are charging. Shower head is broken and water pressure is very low. ||Breakfast service was terrible as there was only one lady doing everything(cooking, serving and clearing up after guests). Breakfast took longer than it should’ve. When you complain all the staff can respond is that they are working alone so we must just be patient. ||All in all I would not recommend this place especially for the rate they charge. It was an aweful experience. We had cold shower on the night of our arrival. For a lodge they switch off the passage lights at night. We paid R700 for breakfast for 3, which was not even worth R100, also not prepared on time. We didn't even have coffee had to ask for juice. I told them 1 lady was Halaal and the lady packed take away breakfast instead of it being seated and she puts pork sausage and bacon for the 1 Halaal breakfast, miscommunication between staff and also breakfast was not set up like they stated between 7am and 9am...
